Mr. Shelton Dukes
Mr. Dukes’ career in education began in 1997, consisting of stops at Woodland Hills (Jackson, MS), Parklane Academy (McComb, MS), and Washington School (Greenville, MS). During his time Mr. Dukes served as a Social Studies teacher and Football, Track and Soccer Coach.
Upon moving to Alabama, Mr. Dukes served as a Physical Education Teacher, Football and Track coach at Clay-Chalkville Middle School. Mr. Dukes has since been Assistant Principal at Mortimer Jordan High School, Bragg Middle School, and Gardendale High School. In the summer of 2018, Mr. Dukes became Principal of Gardendale High School.
Mr. Dukes is a native of Jackson, MS. He is a 1992 graduate of Hillcrest Christian School, a 1996 graduate of Mississippi State University, a 2005 graduate of Delta State University and in 2007 received Educational Leadership Certification from the University of Alabama. Mr. Dukes is married to the former Ellanor Ellis and have 3 children: Harrison, Henry, and Charlotte.
